JOB SUMMARY
Vaco Technology is currently seeking a PowerBI Developer w/ Backend Application Support for a 6M C2H opportunity that is 100% remote-based. The PowerBI Developer will join a newly formed Revenue Operations Team and will support the development, enhancement, and delivery of data-driven tools and analytics solutions across a highly innovative technology organization. The PowerBI Developer must possess a strong understanding of business operations and backend systems and thrive on transforming complex manufacturing, logistics, and sales data into clear, actionable insights. The ideal PowerBI Developer should have experience developing BI Solutions for product-centric business in IoT, connectivity hardware, embedded systems, or high-tech manufacturing environments and be willing to take ownership of backend application support (ERP / CPQ / CRM / additional backend add-ons, etc.), even if unfamiliar with the specific tech stack.

• Design / Develop / Build / Maintain Scalable PowerBI Dashboards / Reports - Supporting Key Functions in Supply Chain / Operations / NPI (New Product Introduction) / Global Sales / Engineering, etc.


• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Stakeholders to Define / Implement KPIs / Metrics / Data Visualizations - Aligning with Strategic / Tactical Goals


• Develop / Manage Power Apps / Workflows via Power Automate - Automating Business Processes / Streamlining Operations


• Translate Business Requirements into Robust / User-Friendly BI Solutions - Focusing on Real-Time Decision Making in a High-Volume Data Environment


• Provide Tier I / II Support for Backend Business Critical Applications - ERP / CPQ / CRM (strongly preferred)


• Troubleshoot / Resolve Issues Across Integrated Systems - Inventory / Product Configuration / Pricing Engines to BOMs / Logistics Systems, etc.


• Collaborate with IT / DevOps / Data Engineering - Maintaining Data Pipelines / Ensuring Data Integrity / Supporting Cross-System Integrations using APIs / Flat Files / SQL-based Connectors, etc.


• Support Ongoing Efforts in Data Governance / Quality / Compliance Across Distributed Business Units


• Act as Liaison Between IT and Departments - Product Management / Finance / Supply Chain / Global Sales, etc. to Understand Data Pain Points / Deliver Tailored Solutions


• Assist in Prioritizing BI Initiatives Based on Impact / Urgency / Data Availability


• Proactively Identify Opportunities for Automation / Analytics Improvements / Application Optimizations

About the Project: This company is undergoing rapid growth, evolving from a start-up-style operation into a more structured, enterprise-ready environment with strong private equity backing. To support this expansion, they've implemented platforms like SAP Business One, PowerBI, and Tacton CPQ. However, the speed of deployment led to some tools being misconfigured and underutilized across departments. Now operating with a clear roadmap, they're building a team of hands-on professionals to drive execution. This role is split between PowerBI development (80%) and Backend Application Support (20%) across ERP, CPQ, CRM, and any additional add-on Backend Applications. While experience with specific platforms isn't required, prior backend application support, including troubleshooting and configuration, is essential.
