Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Digital Solution Architect with over 14 years of experience in designing and leading scalable, secure, and resilient backend solutions for digital platforms. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving integration strategies, backend modernization, and alignment with enterprise cloud-first initiatives. This role demands hands-on architecture leadership, deep API/microservices expertise, and collaboration across cross-functional and enterprise teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and lead the development of scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems and APIs that support web and mobile digital channels.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into modern, cloud-native technical solutions.

  • Design and implement integration patterns using technologies such as API Gateway (Apigee), GraphQL, event-driven architectures, and Kubernetes.

  • Establish and enforce architecture principles, coding standards, and reusable patterns aligned with enterprise best practices.

  • Promote reuse of architectural components and frameworks across digital products to accelerate delivery and improve consistency.

  • Ensure backend systems are resilient, observable, and aligned with non-functional requirements (e.g., performance, scalability, high availability, and security).

  • Integrate seamlessly with enterprise platforms such as authentication (e.g., ForgeRock), content management systems, analytics engines, and personalization tools.

  • Guide teams on implementing robust observability practices, including distributed tracing, logging, and monitoring.

  • Participate in architecture governance processes, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy and technical compliance.

  • Mentor engineers and developers on architecture patterns, backend engineering principles, and emerging technologies.

  • Engage with enterprise architects and digital leaders to ensure strategic alignment with broader technology initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing APIs (REST, GraphQL), microservices, and enterprise-grade backend architectures.

  • Expertise in API management platforms (preferably Apigee Hybrid), integration frameworks, and service mesh architectures.

  • Hands-on experience with authentication/authorization frameworks, particularly OAuth2, ForgeRock, and related identity systems.

  • Strong understanding of cloud-native principles, containerization (e.g., Docker), and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).

  • Deep knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.

  • Strong grasp of non-functional requirements including observability, performance tuning, scalability, and failover mechanisms.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead, influence, and align technical decisions across diverse stakeholders.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working in regulated industries or large-scale enterprise environments.

  • Exposure to customer data platforms (CDPs), personalization engines, and digital analytics integration.

  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Helm) and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
