We are a world-renowned supplier in advanced spacecraft avionics and payload processing solutions. Our state-of-the-art research and development center provides complete turn-key systems and solutions to meet the most demanding space applications. This position has the option of being a fully remote in the following states: AL, AZ, AR, CO, Dis. of Columbia, FL, GA, MA, MD, MI, MN, NH, NC, NJ, OH, OK, OR, TX, UT, VA, WV only. Alternate work locations are Austin or San Antonio, TX.

Objectives of this Role:

  • Provide support to engineering design teams in selecting, evaluating and documenting compliance to specification of electrical, electronic, electromechanical and electro-optical parts.
  • Provide support to project and department management for product development and proposals.
  • Mentor and train new parts engineers and new design engineers on best practices for parts selection, schematic capture, etc.
  • Lead part procurement and work with manufacturers to ensure compliance with engineering requirements and business constraints.
  • Provide support to product development teams and Internal Research projects to ensure innovative products have a path to flight hardware.
  • Play integral role in development of improved schematic library tool set and processes.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineering team to make recommendations regarding appropriate components, researching and suggesting alternatives and documenting decisions across several projects concurrently.
  • Lead procurement process and work with manufacturers.
  • Work closely with Sector management to support proposal efforts with cost, schedule and tailored parts programs that meet the objectives of the end client.
  • Support outside clients with Parts Engineering services.
  • Support and manage Reliability Prediction Analysis.

Requirements:

  • Requires a Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
  • 8+ years: Parts/component engineering required. Working knowledge of NASA EEE-INST-002 required.
  • 8+ years: EEE parts procurement management experience is required.
  • A valid/clear driver's license is required.
  • Salary Range: $113,360 - $211,640

Special Requirements:

Work assignment is in Remote. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
