Job Description:
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and adaptable engineer to join our enterprise hardware and infrastructure team. This role focuses on managing the full hardware lifecycle, supporting cloud and on-premise deployments, and enabling seamless infrastructure provisioning. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in hardware engineering, experience with Oracle technologies, and a working knowledge of automation tools like Ansible.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead server builds and manage hardware procurement for enterprise datacenters Oversee budgeting and planning for hardware refresh cycles Track and manage asset lifecycle, including decommissioning and end-of-service transitions Support operating system refreshes and ensure compliance with lifecycle policies Collaborate with Oracle teams to onboard hardware for storage and database deployments Assist in deploying and managing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Exadata environments Work closely with teams to support customer-facing cloud deployments Participate in virtual machine migrations and cluster builds Utilize Nebula pipeline and Ansible for infrastructure automation (high-level understanding required) Contribute to the teams goal of becoming a one-stop shop for provisioning and infrastructure services Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Oracle technologies (Oracle DB, OCI, Exadata) Familiarity with Ansible for automation and configuration management Understanding of Nebula pipeline workflows Strong organizational and budgeting skills Ability to work cross-functionally with cloud, storage, and database teams Knowledge of on-premise deployment strategies and OCM (Oracle Configuration Manager)
