Job Description
Summary: The Surreal research group at RL-R is seeking exceptional engineers and technical leads to solve the next generation of research challenges on the path to building future machine perception enabled technologies. We are looking for talented engineers to architect and build the next-generation research device of Project Aria. We are building this research device to understand the world from a human's perspective and lay the foundation for AI and AR experiences on future AR glasses.Responsibilities:

We are looking for talented engineers to architect and build the next-generation research device of Project Aria. We are building this research device to understand the world from a human's perspective and lay the foundation for AI and AR experiences on future AR glasses.Responsibilities:
- Prototype, define, and build interactive experiences between glasses and app, bringing the human-in-the-loop during ongoing recordings
- Build functionality to support all-day data collection with the next-generation glasses and wristband combination
- Assist the app team in maintaining and growing engagement of the existing companion app and app features
- Develop full-stack mobile application features in a variety of languages, including but not limited to Javascript, PHP, Swift, Kotlin, Obj-C, and Java
- Work closely with cross-team leads and PMs to define feature specifications and build the next generation data-collection services, leveraging frameworks such as React Native and GraphQL
- 5+ years of experience in mobile app development, iOS or Android
- At least two years React Native development
- Computer science or electrical engineering degree
- 2+ years of experience on hardware device interfacing with a mobile app (BLE preferred) bluetooth experience
- Full Stack development experience , able to go into server side and code to fix problem areas
- Project Management and Scrum Master Experience
- B.S. degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in mobile app development, iOS or Android
- 2+ years of experience in React Native development
- Desire to present work and status to stakeholders
- Ability to dive into full-stack development if project gaps arise
- Dedication to quality, both in product quality and in code quality
- Self-motivated drive to push forward personal and team goals
- 2+ years of experience on hardware device interfacing with a mobile app (BLE preferred)
