Dynamics 365 CRM Testing Professional
Our client is a non-profit in Tysons Corner. This is a non-profit that is trying to help people with disabilities - so the people who work here are truly trying to do the right thing. Their mission is to increase the employment of people with disabilities by building strong partnerships with the federal government and engaging a national network of nonprofit agencies and experts. It's a great place to work and feel good about what you're doing. We have been asked to help them identify a great CRM Tester who knows the associated functionality.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Tester is responsible for all aspects of testing within Dynamics 365 Sales (CE) and CRM. This position is responsible for planning, designing, executing and documenting tests including unit tests, system tests, integration tests, regression tests and coordinating end-user testing including sprint testing and user acceptance testing. The individual must be well versed in functional aspects of CRM with insight into technical aspects of the applications and will also be responsible for supporting production support with significant business user interaction, collaborating with his/her IT colleagues and business subject matter experts. We re really looking for great testing professionals who love to dive into an implementation and find bugs. If you know and like creating Automation, it s even better!
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Use Azure DevOps to manage all testing activities.
- Create strategic level test plans, use cases test plans, test scripts, etc., to support the full testing life cycle.
- Execute/manage regression testing, data driven testing, UAT, integration testing, unit testing, smoke testing, functional testing.
- Participate in requirements review sessions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Read about and understand business processes being implemented/tested.
- Execute the test cases, report bugs with accurate details on the problem statement and steps to reproduce, document test results.
- Collaborate with BAs and Developers to understand requirements and suggest improvements to the feature design wherever necessary.
- Work with end users during UAT to support the users through the testing process and perform walk through of the feature under test.
- Effectively communicate test results, risks and issues to project stakeholders.
- Perform additional duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Required:
- BS/BA with a technology/business/engineering related degree
- 3 plus years testing a CRM solution
- Functional knowledge of Finance processes
- 4 years of testing experience
- Demonstrated knowledge in managing test plans
- Demonstrated expertise in Dynamics 365 CRM projects and technology
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Experience working in Agile environment with knowledge of one or more Test Management tools (E.g. Azure DevOps, Jira, ALM Octane)
Preferred:
- Background working with CE in an integrated environment where data is received from, and sent to, Dynamics F&O.
- Functional domain expertise with sales, marketing, business operations, finance and/or accounting.
- Able to identify and articulate existing/as-is process models while identifying aspects of data and technology actions needed to accomplish the desired end state.
- Experience with Microsoft DevOps is highly desired.
This will be a long-term contract opportunity. The initial contract will be for 12 months. There is a high likelihood that this is a multiyear opportunity with the possibility of conversion to being a full-time employee of our client. During the contract period, the hourly rate will be $75-$85/hr. (as 1099 or C-2-C) based on level of experience. We would also be willing to make you a W2 if you would prefer a different compensation model during the contracting period of the engagement.
Location: The client would prefer candidates local to Northern Virginia or Chicago (near O Hare). If you live in either location, you would be required to be in the office 2 days/week. They would consider 100% remote great candidates, but you must be readily available and willing to travel to one of the main offices on a quarterly basis.
