Desktop Support Specialist
Location: Beverly Hills
6 Month Contract-to-hire | Department: Information Technology
Are you a tech-savvy problem solver who enjoys helping others? We're looking for a Desktop Support Specialist to provide hands-on technical support and ensure smooth IT operations across the organization.
What You'll Do:
- Maintain and manage IT asset inventory, including acquisition, deployment, and retirement of equipment.
- Provide support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, phones, and other hardware.
- Deliver responsive and professional technical assistance to staff, vendors, and partners.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and printer issues.
- Respond to help desk tickets promptly, documenting solutions and escalating when needed.
- Support audio/visual setups and provide assistance during meetings or events.
- Participate in on-call and after-hours support for urgent issues.
- Stay current with new technologies, systems, and business processes.
- Follow established IT policies and procedures.
- Perform other IT-related tasks as assigned.
What We're Looking For:
- 3+ years of experience in desktop support, including hardware/software installation and troubleshooting.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with non-technical users.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, with a positive and proactive attitude.
- Proficiency in Windows and macOS environments.
- Ability to learn new systems quickly, even with limited documentation.
- Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Comfortable working with users of varying technical skill levels, including executives.
- Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to departmental goals.
- Ability to create and maintain technical documentation.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., A+, MSDT, Help Desk) are a plus.
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 40 pounds.
