Position Summary

Under minimal supervision, the Machinist will set up and operate CNC Mills and lathes/ Okuma, Doosan lathe and Haas Milling machines to fabricate metallic and non-metallic parts.

Position Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
\n

- Program CNC machines using CAMWorks software integrated with SolidWorks. \n
- Perform set-up and first article on CNC Mills/ lathes in a safe and responsible manner. \n
- Read and interpret blueprints. \n
- Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job. \n
- Properly and safely load and unload raw material in CNC machinery. \n
- Use measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements. \n
- Perform tool wear offsets. \n
- Perform daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery. \n
- Utilize and abide by ISO requirements and safety procedures. \n
- Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions. \n
Required Qualifications
\n
- \n
- 5+ years of experience in using and/or programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools and machines (mills, grinders, etc.) \n
- Ability to program using Solidworks/ CAMWorks. \n
- Ability to use precision tools (e.g., calipers) to take accurate measurements \n
- Understand and have the ability to perform tool wear offsets \n
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals \n
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of vocational training or an apprenticeship will be an asset. \n
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident \n
