Role: SAP Data Services Expert
Location: Houston, Texas(Hybrid)
Responsibilities:
- Representing hands-on strong SAP Data Services 12.2 to 4.3 upgrade experience, including following-
- Assist in identifying and acquiring appropriate DS 4.3 license keys and provide prerequisites checklist for all platforms.
- Recommend and finalize supported OS, install SAP DS 4.3 Job Server components, and configure access to existing Oracle 19c repositories.
- Install SAP DS 4.3 Job Server on Windows Server 2022, install required MySQL drivers, and validate command-line execution capability.
- Install and configure DSMC on both Linux and Windows job servers and register repositories and Job Servers within DSMC.
- Create new schemas in Oracle, export/import current repositories, run Repository Manager to upgrade schemas, validate upgraded repositories, and remove obsolete references to legacy AIX Job Server.
- Review and update all command-line job execution scripts, validate connectivity, parameters, and logging, recommend best practices for secure credential handling, and provide reusable, centralized script templates.
- Assist with unit and integration testing of migrated jobs, help identify and resolve job failures, connectivity issues, script incompatibilities, and support performance tuning if issues arise during migration.
- Provide full documentation for installation steps, repository upgrade steps, job server configuration, DSMC setup and usage, known issues and resolution steps, and conduct knowledge transfer sessions with the internal team.
