Job Details

Title: Production Support Engineer
Location: Pittsburgh, PA or Dallas, TX — Hybrid (3 days onsite per week)
Employment Type: W2 only — 6-month contract with potential for extension or conversion

Overview: We’re seeking a  Production Support Engineer to join a dynamic team ensuring the stability and performance of critical applications. This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments, have strong troubleshooting skills, and are comfortable working in an on-call rotation with occasional weekend coverage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations for assigned applications, including monitoring and production support.
  • Triage and resolve production incidents, ensuring timely follow-up and documentation.
  • Review and assess upcoming changes impacting applications, addressing management concerns proactively.
  • Monitor for expiring certificates and critical vulnerabilities; implement remediation changes as needed.
  • Execute audit and compliance tasks to maintain application integrity and security.
Required Skills
  • Strong application monitoring experience using tools like Dynatrace and LogScale.
  • Hands-on development experience with Java, Microservices, Kafka, and MongoDB.
  • Familiarity with JIRA and ServiceNow for issue tracking and workflow management.
  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux operating systems.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Jenkins and Git for CI/CD and version control.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts.
