Lead Cloud Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client is hiring a Lead Cloud Developer to drive backend development for cloud-native applications supporting logistics and inventory systems. This hybrid role (3 days onsite in Irving, TX) requires a hands-on leader with strong technical depth and the ability to guide distributed teams.

Summary:
In this role, the Lead Cloud Developer will architect and build scalable services using Node.js, TypeScript, and Spring Boot, leveraging Azure and AWS platforms. Core responsibilities include designing microservices, integrating APIs, and optimizing performance using Kubernetes, serverless functions, and event-driven architectures. They will also work with SQL databases, CI/CD pipelines, and tools like Kafka, Azure Service Bus, and Dynatrace. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
* 5+ years of experience in cloud software development
* 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership role
* Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
* Strong communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills
* Experience in logistics or warehousing is a plus

Proficiency in:
* Node.js, TypeScript, Spring Boot
* Azure & AWS (Functions, Lambda, Kubernetes, API Gateways)
* REST APIs, microservices, event-driven systems
* SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
* Messaging tools (Kafka, Azure Service Bus, Event Hubs)
* CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, App Insights)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
