Location: Cleveland, OH
Salary: $70,000.00 USD Annually - $100,000.00 USD Annually
Description: Our client, a regional metal casting manufacturer is looking for an Electrical and Control Engineer.

As an Electrical and Control Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and enhancing machine control solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Design and Modification:
    • Create electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics, as well as panel layouts.
    • Develop and modify machine control systems, including robotic platforms.
    • Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and other automation controls.
  • Collaboration:
    • Participate in specification reviews, drawing assessments, and factory run-offs.
    • Work closely with customers to support machinery installation and commissioning.
  • Team Support:
    • Mentor entry-level Electrical/Controls Technicians to ensure accurate work and timely project completion.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proficiency with Allen Bradley PLCs and HMIs, including RS Logix.
  • Familiarity with precision industrial automation machinery using hydraulic and pneumatic actuators.
  • Skilled in creating electrical schematics and panel layouts using AutoCAD.
  • Experience with electrical distribution, motor controls, variable frequency drives, servo controls, and pneumatic/hydraulic circuits.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with Fanuc robots.
  • Willingness to travel primarily within North America (travel durations may extend up to 2 weeks).

Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in industrial machine building and field service.
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in related disciplines (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Electrical Controls Engineering, Engineering Technology) or equivalent technical experience.
  • Previous experience with an equipment manufacturer is advantageous.

Immediate start date. Location based in Cleveland. No relocation available.
