Job Summary:
- Provide daily support, maintenance, and ad-hoc request resolution for assigned software and systems.
- Analyze project requirements, and develop technical specifications and designs for complex application features.
- Develop, test, debug, and implement code for business applications, primarily on mainframe platforms.
- Document procedures and code for assigned projects to ensure thorough project tracking.
- Lead or coordinate small-scale projects, taking ownership with minimal supervision.
- Work independently to perform tasks of varying complexity in a dynamic environment.
- Collaborate with business users and technical leads to translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
- Participate actively in development, quality assurance, and implementation to ensure compliance with standards.
- Provide implementation support and production coverage for mainframe code changes.
- Participate in production incident management as needed for supported applications.
- Utilize strong hands-on experience with COBOL, CICS, JCL/PROC, VSAM, DB2/SQL, and related mainframe tools and utilities.
- Apply knowledge of scheduling and debugging tools (CA-Scheduler, Xpediter, Intertest), and file-based interfaces.
- Use Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) for documentation and communication.
- MQSeries coding (batch and CICS) and XML knowledge are desirable.
