W2 & C2C (Remote)

Position Overview: The main function of a non-IT project manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as engineering, research and development, financial systems and product roll-out, etc or any other non-IT based project


Project Overview:

  • This Sr PM will support a strategic projects/programs. A standard Sr. PM description is probably fine for general PM sills (normal PM ask for managing scope, schedule, budget + RAID, stakeholder, communication, status, financial management through the project lifecycles).
  • Project will be initial 6 months with possible extension. PM will work with the BA and team to perform initial exploratory analysis of IT infrastructure and project manage tasks, deliverables, manage financials, report status, manage RAID items, and ensure we are staying on track for end of year delivery. There is vendor work on this project, and it has a business and strong IT infrastructure component.
  • NDA would be required for this role not sure if this is the norm.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
  • Present and explain proposals, reports and findings to clients.
  • Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
  • Analyze technology, resource needs and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
  • Confer with management, production and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.
  • Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates.
  • Direct, review and approve product designs and changes.
  • Consult or negotiate with clients to prepare project specifications

Skills:

  • Ideally this PM would have strong PM skills.
  • IT dev/infrastructure project management experience is required.
  • Heavy focus in IT infrastructure.
  • Experience working with org change management will be helpful as one of the projects will impact a very large team and they will need active communication, training, buy-in, etc. Must be able to work with various vendors.
