Job Description

The Role: As the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for learning within the Engineering organization, the Learning Program Manager ensures that learning strategies deliver measurable value and support a culture of lifelong learning across the enterprise.
What You'll Do:
- Collaborate with business leaders to understand organizational goals, challenges, and workforce needs.
- Conduct performance and skills gap analysis, identifying root causes and recommending tailored solutions.
- Serve as the SPOC between business leaders and the Learning & Development COE, ensuring learning initiatives are aligned with business priorities.
- Oversee the end-to-end development of new courses in partnership with instructional designers, SMEs, vendors, coordinators, learning data specialists, and facilitators.
- Manage the full lifecycle of program design, development, delivery, and evaluation-ensuring initiatives are on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Use data and learner insights to track and report on the impact of learning interventions, providing meaningful metrics that demonstrate value to the business and broader development strategies.
- Maintain trust-based relationships with stakeholders at all levels and act as a go-to advisor for learning needs.
- Facilitate transparent communication about learning programs through regular leader updates and ROI reporting.
- Promote continuous improvement and a culture of learning by encouraging adoption and application of new skills.
- Stay ahead of emerging trends and innovations in L&D, integrating best practices into GM's learning ecosystem.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Education, Organizational Development, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Learning & Development with a focus on program management, strategic alignment, and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience driving learning and capability-building programs within an engineering function
- Proven success in program management, including oversight of course creation and delivery.
- Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to align learning initiatives to business outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills-verbal, written, and presentation-capable of influencing diverse audiences.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills; able to establish credibility with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, competing deadlines, and complex initiatives with attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience evaluating program effectiveness and leveraging data for decision-making.
- Adaptability and flexibility in managing changing priorities and dynamic business needs
