Job Description:

• We are looking for an experienced Data Modeler with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) to design, develop, and optimize enterprise data models that support analytical, operational, and AI-driven use cases. The ideal candidate will work closely with data architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into scalable and efficient data structures across multi-cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with business.
• Collaborate with data architects and data engineers to implement data models in Azure and Google Cloud Platform environments.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and scalability across cloud platforms and systems.
• Develop and optimize dimensional (star/snowflake) and normalized data models for data warehouses and operational data stores.
• Work with Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, Databricks, BigQuery, and Cloud Storage to support analytical workloads.
• Define and document data definitions, metadata, and relationships in enterprise data catalogs.
• Support data governance and master data management (MDM) initiatives by ensuring consistent use of business terms and data definitions.
• Partner with BI, analytics, and data science teams to design data models supporting dashboards, KPIs, and predictive analytics.
• Perform impact analysis of changes to data models and ensure seamless data migration and integration between systems.
• Advocate for data modeling best practices and mentor teams on data design principles.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Modeler, Data Analyst, or Data Engineer with strong modeling expertise.
• Proven experience designing and implementing data models in Azure and Google Cloud Platform environments, including:

• Azure: Synapse Analytics, Data Lake, Data Factory, Databricks, SQL Database
• Google Cloud Platform: BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Dataproc, Dataflow

• Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration patterns.
• Expertise in SQL, data modeling tools (e.g., Erwin, ER/Studio, PowerDesigner, Lucidchart).
• Solid grasp of data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in Microsoft Azure Data Engineer, Azure Data Architect, or Google Professional Data Engineer.
• Experience with cloud-native data modeling and multi-cloud architectures.
• Familiarity with NoSQL data modeling (e.g., Bigtable, Cosmos DB).
• Understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
