Job Summary

The Senior Project Manager (L3) will provide project management, coordination, and administrative consulting services for the successful delivery of assigned projects within a large enterprise project portfolio. This role supports complex, multi-workstream initiatives and collaborates closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Scope of Services / Key Responsibilities

  • Provide senior-level project management services for enterprise initiatives within a structured Project Management Office (PMO).

  • Support a large-scale Legacy Replacement Program, reporting to senior delivery leadership.

  • Work closely with internal teams and external vendors supporting legacy modernization efforts.

  • Manage vendor relationships, deliverables, and performance.

  • Apply PMI PMBOK® standards, project management principles, and the full project lifecycle across all initiatives.

  • Identify, assess, and recommend process improvement opportunities through:

    • Standardization

    • Automation

    • Business Process Reengineering (BPR)

  • Act as the primary point of contact for overall project status, including:

    • Scope, schedule, cost, quality, and change management

    • Risk and issue management

    • Communications, procurement, and stakeholder management

  • Independently guide and manage cross-functional project teams while fostering a collaborative environment.

  • Develop and deliver clear, concise, and actionable status reports for executive and senior leadership.

  • Proactively seek, incorporate, and apply feedback to continuously improve project outcomes.


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in project management, coordination, and administration of large-scale projects consisting of multiple sub-projects and/or workstreams.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working within a Project Management Office (PMO) as a Project Manager.

    • Senior-level experience developing strategies and plans to introduce functional and organizational change.

  • Strong understanding of PMO practices, policies, project governance, and resource management.

  • Experience working with system integration vendors, managing and coordinating project activities across teams of 15+ personnel, including employees and consultants.

  • Proven ability to monitor and control complex projects across all knowledge areas.

  • Excellent stakeholder and communications management skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills including leadership, negotiation, collaboration, conflict resolution, and customer service.

  • Demonstrated experience producing executive-level reporting on project progress, risks, challenges, and next steps.

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365, including:

    • Excel

    • SharePoint

    • Word

    • PowerPoint

    • Visio

    • Microsoft Project

  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Planview or Sensei IQ.

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification – Required


Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience with Planview PPM Pro

  • Experience with Sensei IQ

  • Experience with Pension Administration Systems
