Position: Sr. Backend Python Developer.
Location: New York City, NY (Hybrid 1 day onsite per week)

Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned Backend Developer with a strong background in Python development and AI integration. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable web services and APIs, integrating cutting-edge AI tools and cloud-based services. This role requires working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance applications in a modern cloud-native environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Python (FastAPI, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy/SQLModel).
- Integrate AI tools and frameworks (OpenAI, LangChain, LangGraph, Crew AI) into scalable backend systems.
- Build RESTful APIs to support front-end applications and external integrations.
- Collaborate with DevOps and platform teams to deploy solutions in Azure using services like Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Azure Key Vault.
- Optimize SQL queries and manage relational data models.
- Assist in front-end integration using lightweight tools such as Streamlit or Plotly Dash.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and maintain version control using Git and Azure DevOps.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 10+ years of hands-on experience in backend or full stack development.
- Proficient in Python with deep understanding of FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, and Pydantic.
- Experience with AI/LLM-based development and libraries like OpenAI, LangChain, LangGraph, or Crew AI.
- Familiar with deploying applications and services on Azure, including AI-specific integrations.
- Strong SQL proficiency with ability to write and optimize complex queries.
- Experience working in cloud environments and implementing DevOps practices.
- Basic front-end exposure (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript) and visualization tools like Streamlit or Plotly Dash.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to thrive in fast-paced, collaborative teams.
