POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
We are seeking a Sr Active Directory Engineer to work within the enterprise system support division. This division is responsible for networks, servers, enterprise services and cloud. As an Sr. Active Directory engineer you will support the planning, design, implementation, and ongoing support of TDCJ active directories. (This is not an AD Administration role.)

We want candidates that are well versed at an engineering level in Active Directory and Amazon's AWS.

Responsible following activities:
- Gain deep insights into Customer issues and potential risks based on subject matter expertise;
- Devise approach to solving complex problems;
- Exhibit intellectual leadership to the problem-solving effort;
- Manage conflicting stakeholder expectations;
- Provide thought leadership in project;
- Help team to develop new insights from the analysis;
- Prioritize the recommendations based on ease of implementation and impact;
- Provide subject matter expertise on a specific area within the domain/technology/service;
- Expertise in identifying and defining problems, analysis and developing recommendations;
Required skills:
- Experience working with multiple domain environments.
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory authentication processes (Both on-prem and Azure)
- Demonstrated proficiency with PowerShell for large scale management and automation.
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Active Directory architecture and infrastructure (LDAP, directory replication, Group Policy, Sites and Services, security, schema changes, domain controller management, Domain trusts).
- Complete understanding of security principals in the design and operational aspect of Active Directory environments.
- Knowledge of Identity Life cycle on-boarding and off-boarding processes.
Preferred skills:
- Knowledge of identity & access management concepts is a plus.
- Working knowledge of One Identity Active Roles preferred.
- Knowledge of ADFS and MFA preferred.
