We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Mechanical Engineer with experience in the Manufacturing industry to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time position for an individual who is detail-oriented, possesses a strong understanding of mechanical design, and is passionate about the Aerospace and Defense industry. The successful candidate will possess extensive knowledge of CAD software, including AutoCAD, and will have a proven track record in mechanical testing. With over 5+ years of experience, you will be a crucial member of our team, contributing to the design, development, and implementation of our cutting-edge products.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, test, and evaluate mechanical and electromechanical systems or products by designing, conducting research, and applying principles of mechanics.
2. Oversee the manufacturing process, ensuring designs are implemented accurately and timely.
3. Use CAD software, including AutoCAD, to design and test product solutions.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project objectives, gather automation requirements, and design automated systems.
5. Analyze mechanical systems, including Finite Element Analysis for structural, fatigue, thermal, vibration, and acoustics.
6. Develop and test prototypes for products to ensure design meets client and company specifications.
7. Prepare and present technical reports summarizing project details and proposal plans.
8. Keep updated with the latest advancements in the field and upgrading the existing products or processes accordingly.
9. Provide technical support to the team and troubleshoot mechanical failures or system issues.
10. Ensure all designed products meet legal guidelines and safety requirements.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, specifically in mechanical design.
3. Extensive experience with CAD software, particularly AutoCAD.
4. Proven experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
5. Strong understanding of mechanical testing methodologies and standards.
6. Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead a team to meet deadlines.
7. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
8. Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
11. Familiarity with industry safety standards and procedures.
12. Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.
