Description

SAIC is seeking a Quality Technician to support the Middletown Rhode Island Operations in the building of military testing and ancillary equipment.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

In this role, you will conduct routine quality inspections throughout production, including receiving, in-process, and final inspections. During these inspections you will assess product compliance by utilizing product electrical and mechanical drawings, DMM, test meters, and precision measuring tools to ensure that products meet specifications. In addition, maintain records, tracking metrics, and develop quality reports. Applicants should have experience performing required task in similar product environment.

JOB DUTIES:
  • Conduct routine quality inspections throughout the production or manufacturing process, including receiving, in-process, and final inspections
  • Manage equipment calibration process
  • Perform in process audits
  • Maintain documentation of all inspections and potential issues
  • Manage MRB assessment
  • Assist with problem resolution and suggest process improvements
  • Assist in development and maintaining quality performance reports

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE:
  • High school diploma or GED certificate and three (3) years experience. Preferred associate degree in a technical field
  • Preferred training with IPC/WHMA-A-620 and J-STD-001
  • Minimum of (3) years manufacturing experience building electronic systems and harnesses
  • Ability to read technical drawings
  • Ability to use a variety of precision measuring tools, including digital multi meters, micrometers, calipers, and other similar metrology devices
  • Attention to detail
  • Must be able to obtain Secret security clearance
