Position: Post Silicon Verification Test Engineer
Location: Austin, TX
Contract Duration: 1+ year
Rate: $70-80/hr W-2 (Rate flexibility dependent on candidate qualifications)
Onsite: 5 days per week, standard work hours
As a Post Silicon Test Engineer you will be responsible for developing and implementing test plans and methodologies for validating and verifying the functionality of integrated circuits (ICs) after they have been manufactured.
Job Details:

  • Develop and use infrastructure for running tests and metrics collection on silicon
  • Develop and execute post-silicon tests (to provided plan) by running software on silicon, leveraging simulation tests if applicable.
  • Be responsible for debug support for complex sightings, booting, silicon bring-up and device characterization across different PVT corners.
  • Support the ASIC and downstream software teams in key activities requiring lab work.
  • Contribute to future silicon development with learnings and optimizations from silicon-based debug activities.

Responsibilities include:
  • Test Plan Development: Creating comprehensive test plans based on product specifications and requirements.
  • Test Methodology: Designing and implementing test methodologies to ensure accurate and efficient testing of ICs.
  • Test Program Development: Writing test programs or scripts to automate the testing process using tools such as ATE (Automated Test Equipment) or custom-built test setups.
  • Debugging: Identifying and troubleshooting issues encountered during testing, including analyzing test results and diagnosing failures to determine root causes.
  • Data Analysis: Analyzing test data to assess product performance, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements or optimizations.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with design, validation, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless transition from design to production, and to provide feedback for design improvements.
  • Documentation: Documenting test procedures, results, and findings for internal reference and compliance purposes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Staying updated with the latest testing techniques, tools, and technologies to continuously improve testing processes and enhance product quality.
