Role: Kubernetes Engineer

Irvine, CA (Hybrid)

Seeking a Kubernetes Engineer with deep expertise in container orchestration and CNCF ecosystem tooling. This role will focus on designing, managing, and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters to provide a resilient and scalable platform for application teams. Looking for strong communication skills, high energy, taking ownership, and not afraid to engage with customers.

Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of Kubernetes internals and APIs.

Good experience in scripting in Python.

Hands-on experience with AWS EKS and/or self-managed Kubernetes.

Experience with Helm, Operators, and CRDs.

Familiarity with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK).

Strong communication skills, high energy, take ownership and not afraid to engage with customers.

Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD) preferred.

Strong Kubernetes knowledge with Red Hat OpenShift Operator framework is a plus.

Experience with Portworx (installation, configuration, troubleshooting) is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Administer Kubernetes clusters (EKS, self-managed, and hybrid).

Automate cluster provisioning, upgrades, and scaling.

Monitor and troubleshoot containerized workloads and cluster-level issues.

Implement RBAC, network policies, and security best practices.

Support CI/CD pipelines and GitOps-based deployments (ArgoCD, Flux).

Integrate CNCF tools (service mesh, observability, policy management).

Collaborate with developers to ensure optimal application performance on Kubernetes.
