Job Details

Description:
Our client, an industry leader in telecommunications, has an excellent opportunity for a Test Engineer to work on a contract opportunity. Work will be a hybrid on-site/remote schedule in Englewood, CO. The Test Engineer will be responsible for working on all CPE releases.

Rate: $50 - $55 / hr. w2

Responsibilities:
Manual and Automation Testing:

o Perform both manual and automated testing to ensure the quality and functionality of software products.

o Shift focus towards executing automation tests rather than developing new automation scripts.

Validation of Automation Results:

o Analyze and validate the results of automated tests to ensure accuracy and reliability.

o Identify discrepancies and work on resolving them.

Network Experience:

o Apply networking knowledge to test scenarios, ensuring that software interacts correctly with network components.

o Utilize understanding of networking concepts to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Unix and Router Experience:

o Use Unix-based systems for testing and automation tasks.

o Hands-on experience with routers and other networking equipment to simulate real-world scenarios.

Test Execution and Thoughtful Analysis:

o Plan and execute test cases with a strategic approach.

o Analyze test results and provide insights for improvements.

Experience Requirements:
Automation Testing Tools:

o Proficiency in at least one automation testing tool (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.). Flexibility to adapt to different tools as needed.

Networking Knowledge:

o Understanding of basic networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.

Unix Skills:

o Experience with Unix/Linux command line for executing tests and managing test environments.

Problem-Solving Skills:

o Ability to think critically and solve complex problems related to software testing and network interactions.

Communication Skills:

o Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and document test results.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
