Position Summary

Position Summary:

The Digital IT Technical Specialist will support operational technology across a multisite business unit. The ideal candidate will have experience in setting standards and deploying reliable solutions, combined with extensive project management expertise. This role requires a highly motivated individual with excellent planning, coordination, and communication skills who thrives in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.

This position is based out of Wickliffe, Ohio and follows a hybrid work schedule of 4 days a week in office with the option for 1 day a week remote.

Essential Functions:
  • Stays abreast of new Digital and IT and OT technological innovation/processes and researches the usage at Parker
  • Understands business impact; Create and communicate decisions impacting the wider business, effectively managing customer expectations
  • Applies and leads continuous improvement initiatives to streamline and improve system efficiencies within the Enterprise solutions working closely with division/group on localized systems.
  • Performs benchmark analysis and ROI on existing & new Digital and IT solutions in order to estimate, develop and manage departmental/project budgets and cost/performance analysis.
  • Accountable for delivery of technical systems/solutions, plus the architecture and documentation within their area of technical expertise, supporting enterprise and global environments
    Ability to travel (up to 50%) as needed
    Available to provideafter-hourstechnical support as needed
Technical Skills
  • Industrial Control Systems (ICS): Knowledge of SCADA, DCS, PLC, and RTU systems.
  • Network Protocols: Understanding of Modbus, OPC, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, DNP3, and other OT-specific protocols.
  • Cybersecurity for OT: Familiarity with securing control systems, threat detection, vulnerability assessment, and incident response.
  • System Integration: Ability to integrate OT systems with IT infrastructure.
  • Automation Technologies: Experience with robotics, sensors, actuators, and control loops.
  • Hardware Troubleshooting: Skills in diagnosing and repairing physical components like PLCs, sensors, and communication devices.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with configuration and programming tools for PLC.
  • Data Acquisition & Analysis: Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data from OT systems for performance optimization.
  • Cloud and Edge Computing: Understanding of cloud platforms and edge devices relevant to OT environments.
  • Electrical and Mechanical Knowledge: Basic understanding of electrical circuits and mechanical systems related to industrial operations.

Qualifications:
  • 4-year University / College Degree or significant technical certifications
  • Five or more years' experience in Information Technology
  • Excellent written and verbal communicationand collaborationskills
  • Ability to maintain professional and strong relationships with business partners, contactors, and stakeholders
  • Experience in security best practices and compliancy requirements for area of expertise
  • Planning and executing OT system upgrades or deployments.
  • Vendor and stakeholder coordination
  • Documentation and compliance management.
