Vice President - Digital Forensics & Incident Response (DFIR) | East Coast, US


Adeptis Group is proud to be partnered with a high-growth cybersecurity consultancy on a strategic leadership hire as they expand their DFIR offering across North America. This is a unique opportunity for a proven Incident Response leader to take ownership of a practice area, shape go-to-market strategy, and build a scalable team from the ground up.


With strong market traction, investment backing, and an experienced leadership team, the platform is in place for a seasoned DFIR leader to drive commercial and operational success.


The Role

You ll also be responsible for:

  • Leading and developing a best-in-class DFIR team
  • Building relationships with insurance panels, breach coaches, and law firms
  • Delivering both reactive and retainer-based services to mid-market and enterprise clients
  • Shaping service lines and go-to-market strategy alongside the executive team
  • Representing the firm at industry events and in the media as a trusted thought leader


Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Practitioner-Led: You bring a strong technical foundation in forensics, malware analysis, threat intel, and live response
  • Commercially Switched-On: Able to identify, win, and grow DFIR engagements across direct clients and partners
  • People-Centric Leader: You ve built high-performing, mission-driven teams and led them through critical response efforts
  • Credible & Visible: Comfortable representing the business publicly, whether at conferences, on panels, or through media


What You ll Need

  • 10+ years in DFIR, including senior leadership experience
  • Proven track record delivering breach response engagements in complex, regulated environments
  • Strong relationships within the insurance and legal sectors
  • Technical credentials such as CISSP, GCFA, GCIH, EnCE, or similar
  • Experience managing service delivery against tight SLAs under pressure
  • Willingness to travel as required across the East Coast and to client sites
