RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in San Antonio, TX that is seeking an SAP Business Object Admin.
Key Responsibilities:
Platform Administration:
* Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain SAP BusinessObjects environments (BI Platform, Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, etc.)
* Manage servers, services, and user access within the Central Management Console (CMC)
* Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and scalability
Security & Governance:
* Implement and manage user roles, groups, and security policies
* Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards
* Audit system usage and maintain documentation of configurations and changes
Support & Troubleshooting:
* Provide technical support to report developers and business users
* Troubleshoot issues related to report execution, scheduling, and data connectivity
* Coordinate with SAP support for issue resolution and patch management
Integration & Optimization:
* Integrate BusinessObjects with various data sources (SAP BW, HANA, SQL, etc.)
* Optimize report performance and server resource utilization
* Automate report scheduling and distribution using Publication and Scheduling features
Collaboration & Strategy:
* Work closely with BI developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to support reporting needs
* Contribute to BI strategy and roadmap, including migration planning and platform enhancements
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
* 3+ years of experience administering SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform
* Experience with SAP BW, HANA, or other enterprise data sources
* Strong understanding of BusinessObjects architecture, security model, and report lifecycle
* Proficiency in SQL and scripting for automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python)
* Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
