Engineering Technical Specialist (Mid-Level or Senior)

The Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Digital Engineering (DE) organization is hiring proactive Mid-Level or Senior Engineering Technical Specialists to join our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) team on-site in Everett, Washington.

In this role you will manage and improve PLM processes and tools that support current production and development programs, while helping to drive the Enterprise Digital Engineering strategy. You will support multiple PLM functions and teams across the DE organization, balancing day-to-day production support and maintenance with the design and delivery of advanced, future-state capabilities. This position works directly with enterprise and global engineering teams, and partners closely with IT, to execute the Digital Engineering roadmap across all Enterprise and BCA programs.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Support current production issues to minimize disruption in engineering flow and quality related to BCA/Enterprise Engineering processes and tools.
  • Collaborate across teams and functions to design high-quality, integrated processes focusing on capability requirements gathering and well-defined documentation.
  • Develop, document, implement, and provide consultation on engineering tools, processes, and standards ensuring compliance and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Provide training and assistance in the utilization of processes and tools, supporting integration of engineering designs.
  • Identify and validate user access roles, produce tip sheets, and understand system interoperability.
  • Provide configuration management, coordinate changes, perform compliance assessments, and manage implementation of product standards across business units and programs.
  • Represent Boeing on external standards committees and develop, adapt, or adopt external standards for internal use.
  • Develop, maintain, and distribute engineering documents, reports, and correspondence to support business activities.
  • Collect, analyze, and validate engineering performance metrics and coordinate organizational requirements to support business needs.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Associates degree or higher.
  • 5+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 14+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities, accuracy, and strong organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating a customer service focus and mindset.
  • Strong work ethic, sense of urgency, and ability to complete assigned work with minimal supervision while meeting commitments.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies is highly desirable.
  • Experience with engineering lifecycle activities, tools, and processes.
  • Proficiency in Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools.
  • Strong project management skills.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range (Level 3): $90,100 - $121,900

Summary Pay Range (Level 4): $108,800 - $147,200

Summary Pay Range (Level 5): $128,350 - $176,650
