Job Details:
- This role provides leadership for multiple areas within Billing Center and the associated integrations.
- Position Responsibilities include providing technical support for multiple BillingCenter functions and integrations, developing, documenting and executing unit test cases,
- Delivering quality and timely results
- owning and resolving complex technical problems and issues with assigned applications and work processes
- Reviewing and recommending test plans for impacted areas and end-to-end test coverage
- Complying with and supporting all corporate
- Department and team policies and procedures, keeping the manager, project teams/managers and business customers informed of activities and problems within assigned areas of responsibility
- Recommending improvements to existing processes or proposing new ones to improve the quality of project deliverability
- Esnsuring reviews for quality of application software designs
- Consulting with internal and external customers on the utilization of applications computing technologies
- Leading projects across technical disciplines
- Developing technical knowledge and performance skills of IT projects teams
- Researching evaluating and recommending new technologies
- Implementing and supporting proof-of-concept activities
- Developing and obtaining sign-offs on technical specs
- Design documents, functional designs and requirements
- Guiding teams on long term solutions for resolving frequently occurring production problems and reducing defect leakage
- Ensuring code is developed per standards with focus on maintainability
- Ensuring batch cycles are executed according to plan and defects resolved timely, and leading team in successful completion of phase gates for projects.
Position Qualifications
- 10 years of developer experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience or appropriate technical certification
- 5 years extensive experience with Guidewire Insurance Suite
- 3 recent years of ongoing Billing Center experience, P&C Non-Standard Auto Insurance experience preferred.
Experience in technical disciplines
- Java/Spring, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Angular, Hibernate, SQL, JSON/XML, REST
- Web Services, Git/SVN, Jenkins, Oracle & SQL
- Experience with cloud development practices
- Advanced certifications for coding/development with current Guidewire Certified Ace preferred
- Advanced technical skills and knowledge of gosu and related languages
- Ability to provide technical leadership on large/complex projects
- Knowledge of program design methods and standard development tools,
- Ability to recommend new frameworks and tools
- Ability to identify improvement areas in architecture and integration designs
- Ability to teach and provide instruction to co-workers
- Excellent leadership qualities
- Ability to follow and create best practice development standards
- Experience with agile and waterfall methodologies
- Ability to translate business to technical requirements
- Minimal managerial direction, and understanding of technical controls
- Security concepts and SOX requirements
