Description:
Large Reinsurance/Financial client.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $60 - $70 / hr. w2

Responsibilities:
Under limited supervision, serves as liaison between users and Technical IT teams to analyze, document and test business requirements involving the commercial mortgage application and its' data warehouse model. Provide solutions for system support and enhancement requests. Provide basic application support for internal business users.

Responsibilities:
  • Develops, validates, documents, and maintains business and functional requirements and conducts structured walkthroughs of requirements with business and IT technical team members.

o Mainly responsible for developing all business / technical requirements for support and enhancement items within the Commercial Mortgage Data Warehouse model.

o Transforms business requirements into SQL statements

o Analyzes data in order to triage issues within the data model

o Works closely with data architect, business sponsors, core system admins, and report writers within an Agile methodology
  • Analyzes source system data in support of improving data quality

o Works with the business to identify data issues and identify potential solutions

o Proactively works to identify ways to improve data quality through business rules automation

o Review existing Application functionality and perform gap analysis to identify enhancements to existing system functionalities. Apply configuration changes and updates via an application management tool.
  • Develops test plans and executes test scripts for application and data model changes in order to deliver quality work
  • Assists in evaluation of business requests to determine feasibility; researches and identifies options.
  • Responds to questions from business and IT technical teams.
  • Assists in evaluation of and tracking of new or enhanced solutions to determine potential issues, communicates how problems may affect business and recommends solutions, mainly within the mortgage data warehouse model.
  • Assists in performing task automation and implements process improvements; recommends enhancements that result in increased quality and service.
  • Respond to escalated calls from users and the help desk
  • Assists in the support of the core commercial mortgage servicing and accounting platform.
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Ability to transform data into information for analytics
  • Intermediate SQL skills

o Includes writing basic update scripts, along with intermediate queries
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Ability to be flexible when needed, take initiative, and demonstrate accountability
  • Strong oral and written communication skills demonstrating ability to share and impart knowledge
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new methods, work under tight deadlines and stressful conditions within an Agile methodology.

  • 5-7 years IT-related experience, such as Business Analysis, Quality Assurance, etc.

Preferred:
  • 8+ years IT-related experience, such as Business Analysis, Data Analysis, etc.
  • 2+ years Financial or Investment industry knowledge


Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience
