Description
We are seeking a Conference Room Support Technician to join our team and provide hands-on support for over 330 conference rooms across multiple office locations. This role is based in Madison, WI and is 100% on-site, Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving connectivity issues related to Microsoft Teams and Zoom, responding to service tickets, and ensuring conference rooms are fully operational and presentable for meetings and events. This position involves direct interaction with a wide range of users including executives, directors, managers, employees, and guests.

We are seeking a Conference Room Support Technician to join our team and provide hands-on support for over 330 conference rooms across multiple office locations. This role is based in Madison, WI and is 100% on-site, Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving connectivity issues related to Microsoft Teams and Zoom, responding to service tickets, and ensuring conference rooms are fully operational and presentable for meetings and events. This position involves direct interaction with a wide range of users including executives, directors, managers, employees, and guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to alerts and outages from Microsoft Teams and Zoom admin systems.
- Monitor and triage tickets in ServiceNow, self-assign relevant tickets, and reroute others as needed.
- Provide on-site troubleshooting and support for conference room technology issues.
- Test and verify functionality of large conference rooms scheduled for upcoming meetings.
- Perform regular sweeps of conference rooms to identify and resolve unreported issues.
- Offer support for large meetings and events when needed.
- Follow task assignments in Planner when not addressing active issues.
- Update firmware and software per guidance from CCT leads.
- Maintain clean and organized cable management during installations, upgrades, and repairs.
- Provide remote support to technicians at other office locations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and Zoom platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, especially with AV and connectivity issues.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow (preferred but not required).
- Experience with cabling, audio-visual equipment installation, and conference room technology.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and safely use ladders and other tools.
- Comfortable with physical tasks such as squatting, crouching, and crawling under furniture.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse user groups.
- Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn new technologies.
