Our client, a modern and tech-forward insurance organization, is looking for a Data Engineer to join their growing team in Framingham, MA. This is a full-time opportunity where you'll work on building scalable data pipelines, architecting cloud-based solutions, and leveraging the latest AI and data technologies to transform insurance workflows.

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or backend development
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL pipelines, and event-driven architecture
- Proven experience with relational databases and SQL (Postgres, MySQL, or similar)
- Hands-on experience with distributed data systems (Spark, Kafka, Flink, or equivalent)
- Proficiency with AWS cloud services (S3, RDS, Redshift, Lambda, SQS, SNS)
- Experience designing and building APIs and data integrations
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices
- Experience working with streaming and real-time data
- Experience with vector databases (PGVector, Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus)
- Familiarity with AI/ML workflows and integrating models into production pipelines
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Hands-on experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
- Experience with data governance, compliance, and security best practices (HIPAA, GDPR)
- Prior work in Insurtech or Fintech domains

Daily Responsibilities
- Hands-on development of scalable ETL and real-time streaming pipelines
- Designing and optimizing data architecture for analytics and AI-driven applications
- Collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to deliver data-driven solutions
- Monitoring system health, ensuring data quality, and implementing observability best practices
