Job Details

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Senior Systems Administrator to join our IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Windows systems administration, patch management, and scripting, with experience in virtualization and automation. While our current infrastructure is primarily on-prem, we are in the early stages of cloud migration, particularly around Office 365, with plans for further adoption of Azure services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain Windows-based server infrastructure.
  • Perform patch management and vulnerability remediation across systems.
  • Develop tools and automate repetitive tasks using PowerShell scripting.
  • Support VMware virtualization environment.
  • Assist in the migration of on-prem Exchange servers to Microsoft 365.
  • Provide light administration and recipient management for Microsoft Exchange (8 on-prem servers).
  • Support SCCM/MECM as needed during transition to Intune and PDQ for software/patch management.
  • Contribute to planning and execution of cloud initiatives, particularly within Microsoft Azure.
  • Collaborate with the team to implement best practices in system security, automation, and monitoring.

Must-haves:
  • 7+ Years of professional experience with Windows systems administration and support.
  • Adept understanding of patch management and vulnerability remediation processes in SCCM.
  • Proficiency with PowerShell scripting for automation and tool development.
  • Experience with VMware virtualization technologies.

Nice-to-Haves:
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of Cisco UCS.
  • Expertise using MECM, Microsoft Intune, and PDQ Deploy.
  • Basic Linux system administration skills.
  • Experience with M365 applications. (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, OneDrive)
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange (recipient management and light administration).
  • Professional experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Ansible
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, VMware, Azure).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
