Job Title: Salesforce Software Engineer (Birdseye Application Support)

Location: Springfield, IL (Remote)

ON AS NEEDED BASIS 10 hours a week

About the Role

Dynamic Interactive Business System Inc. is looking for a Salesforce Software Engineer to provide application support and maintenance for the Birdseye Case Management solution. This is a mission-critical system developed on the Salesforce FEDRAMP Certified Government Cloud.

The Birdseye solution is used by DHS/DD and its partners, including Independent Service Coordination (ISC) agencies, to process Medicaid Waiver Services, manage funding requests, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

The engineer will play a key role in maintaining, enhancing, and supporting the Birdseye solution, ensuring smooth operations and alignment with DHS/DD requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and enhancements for the Birdseye Salesforce application.
  • Ensure compliance with DHS/DD policies, business rules, state and federal laws, regulations, mandates, and court decrees.
  • Maintain and update application documentation within DHS/DD.org.
  • Implement payload fields and the Process Status Code field (Data Entry Screen and Payload).
  • Maintain and publish user guides; manage system access through Illinois.gov with OKTA single sign-on.
  • Manage automated data synchronization across DHS/DD.org, PRCS, and ISC agencies.
  • Support cloud-to-cloud data exchanges between Salesforce and DHS/DoIT PRCS JAVA Rate Calculation System.
  • Perform enhancements including:
    • Completion of LOTUS migration into PRCS.
    • Incorporating additional functionality and units into Birdseye.
    • Implementing revisions to business rules, workflow, dropdowns, and file transfers.
  • Provide system data analysis and reporting support using legacy CRS databases.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience with the Birdseye application.
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience with Salesforce platform development and administration.
  • Salesforce certifications:
    • Certified Advanced Administrator or
    • Certified Platform Developer II (or equivalent App Builder certification).

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Salesforce FedRAMP Certified Government Cloud.
  • Strong knowledge of DHS/DD business processes, especially related to Medicaid Waiver programs.
  • Hands-on experience with data integration, automated workflows, and system security (OKTA SSO).
  • Familiarity with JAVA-based systems (specifically DHS/DoIT PRCS Rate Calculation).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
