Job Details
Release Engineer / Release Manager
Location: Chicago, IL.
Contract: 12 Months.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and improve release processes, tools, and cadences
- Conduct Release Readiness and Go/No-Go reviews
- Track release progress, quality, risks, and dependencies
- Communicate release status and health to executive leadership
- Drive CI/CD maturity, automation, and faster time-to-market
- Handle risk management, incident management, RCA, and outage prevention
- Ensure security, privacy, compliance, and reliability standards
- Act as a customer advocate during release decisions
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with complex releases involving multiple Scrum teams
- Hands-on knowledge of Agile/Scrum, Kanban, CI/CD pipelines
- Tools: Jenkins, Git, Artifactory, JIRA (plus)
- Cloud experience: AWS and/or Azure
- Knowledge of ITIL processes
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills in high-pressure environments
