RIS I is the delivery of regional IT services to the end user. We offer support of end user devices including desktop, workplace peripherals, and voice and video devices. We support local and campus area networks, including wireless and cable plant.

AT&T has an opening for a JOCC IT Field Support Specialist: To support the JOCC by providing Tier 2 and 3 on-site and remote supports for computer workstations, servers, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment.

This position requires office presence a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.

Description of Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Guide users to specific hardware to best meet organizational needs ensuring no compatibility issues with existing hardware and new hardware being requested. This includes desktop, telephony, video teleconference equipment, network connectivity and detailed hardware troubleshooting.

The job duties of the JOCC Field Support are as follows:
  • Trains site personnel in proper use of hardware.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and test computer workstations, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment.
  • Install and configure computer workstations, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment and associated cabling.
  • Conducts IT surveys for installs, moves, excess.
  • Experienced installing ALL end user requested GW/RISI hardware offered in the service catalog.
  • Coordinate hardware installation schedules.
  • Prepare infrastructure drawings for IT expansion.
  • Configure workstations, printers, VoIP teleconferencing equipment and peripherals.
  • Provide IT guidance on proper use of hardware, and ways to optimize account/VDI session performance.
  • Understand fiber and copper infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot workstations and peripherals.
  • Understanding of Windows 10 and 11.
  • Understanding of PKI certificates.
  • Understanding of Active Directory and group policies.
  • Understanding of LAN / CAN infrastructure.
  • Ability to read and understand installation articles.
  • IT Liaison between customer and GW partner.

Required Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph. (#ts/sci) (#polygraph)

Required Qualifications: Minimum education and experience level: High school/GED and three (3) to five (5) years of experience and Security + Certification or equivalent.

Equivalent education and experience is allowable.
  • Advanced skill levels for installing, repairing and troubleshooting computer hardware and peripherals.
  • Well-versed in installing windows, software, applications, antivirus and patches.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access).
  • Able to manage time and priorities effectively.
  • Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in working with end-users remotely.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Windows 10 and 11.
  • Familiar with Active Directory security and policies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure positive user experience.
  • Outstanding communication skills and customer service experience.
  • Must be available to work an 8-hour shift between the hours of 6am-and 6pm, as determined by management.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds multiple times per shift.
  • The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; periodic work in tight areas.
  • In order to be considered for this position, you must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.

Desired Qualifications: Experience with printers, viewmagic, DX80, knowing how to manage time and read the SLAO's of the tickets, being able to keep the ticket moving along when other groups are involved (Proper ticket handling).
