Job Description: TDM Architect (Test Data Management Architect)
Location: Fort Mills, SC (Onsite)
Duration: 12 months
Position Overview
The IBM Optim TDM Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and governing enterprise-wide Test Data Management solutions using the IBM InfoSphere Optim platform. This role ensures secure, compliant, high-quality, and scalable test data provisioning to support application development, QA, and DevOps pipelines. The architect will define TDM standards, automate data processes, and enable consistent usage of masked, subsetted, or synthetic data across environments.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 7 12+ years of experience in Test Data Management, Data Engineering, or Database Architecture.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with IBM InfoSphere Optim TDM suite.
- Deep expertise in:
- Optim data masking (Data Privacy)
- Data subsetting (Data Growth)
- Archive/Extract/Restore processes
- Table Maps, Column Maps, Access Definitions, Primary Keys, and Relationships
- Strong RDBMS experience (Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
- Excellent SQL and scripting skills (Shell, Python, PowerShell).
- Understanding of data modeling, metadata, and enterprise data architecture.
- Experience integrating TDM with DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and documentation abilities.
- Effective stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in data virtualization or cloud-based TDM approaches (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Experience with IBM DataStage, Guardium, or other governance/security tools.
- Experience in Agile/DevOps organizations.
Relevant certifications (IBM Certified Database Associate, Data Privacy certifications, etc.).
