Position Overview:
We are seeking highly skilled Backend Software Engineers to join an expedited, short-term project focused on expanding telehealth capabilities for a leading healthcare platform. The project involves enhancing existing APIs to support new functionality within an telehealth system. This is a fully backend-focused role, requiring expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS. The team will work closely with a technical PM and principal engineer while collaborating with a separate frontend squad.

Project Duration:

  • Start: August 25th (hands-on keyboard)
  • End: October 31 (project goes live in production)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Modify and create new API endpoints within an existing backend system.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate additional functionality into the telehealth platform.
  • Ensure scalability, performance, and reliability of backend services in AWS.
  • Work alongside a technical PM and principal engineer to align with project scope and timelines.

Technical Requirements:

  • Must-Have:
    • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.
    • Experience with AWS (serverless architecture, Lambda, API Gateway, etc.).
    • Proven track record of building and modifying RESTful APIs.
  • Nice-to-Have:
    • Familiarity with Terraform (limited use expected).
    • Prior experience in healthcare or telehealth systems
