Job Overview

MasterApp Labs is seeking an experienced Business Analyst 5 to support a major project with the State of Michigan. This is a long-term hybrid opportunity, working onsite in Lansing, MI two days a week (Tue/Wed) - no remote-only option.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and document clear, testable business requirements.

  • Facilitate requirement workshops with business & IT stakeholders.

  • Create and maintain project backlogs in Agile, set priorities with Product Owner.

  • Document As-Is and To-Be process flows.

  • Support Build vs. Buy analysis and help resolve critical IT issues.

  • Ensure all deliverables meet DTMB/MDOT standards and SEM methodology.

  • Collaborate with UI/UX, architects, developers, QA, DBAs, and tech writers.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.

  • 5+ years as a Business Analyst, gathering/documenting requirements.

  • 5+ years working with Agile & Waterfall methodologies.

  • Proven experience creating Epics, Features, User Stories.

  • Strong experience documenting business process flows (As-Is & To-Be).

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder facilitation skills.
