Manager
Location: Honolulu, HI, On-site,1 remote day after 6-month period
Reports To: Director of Information Systems
Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract to Hire
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Information Systems Senior Section Manager to lead a team responsible for supporting enterprise IT systems, including data warehouse operations, document management, reporting platforms, and analytics tools. This role is ideal for a collaborative leader with strong communication skills and a solid understanding of enterprise technology environments. While deep data expertise is not required, familiarity with data governance and data warehouse concepts is preferred. The manager will serve as a key liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring that IT solutions align with organizational goals and deliver value across departments.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of five IT professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to support professional development.
- Ensure team operations align with organizational policies, standards, and strategic objectives.
- Oversee the administration and support of enterprise platforms including SQL-based databases, Oracle systems, and reporting tools such as Tableau.
- Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of document management and analytics solutions.
- Act as a primary point of contact for business units, translating technical concepts into business-friendly language.
- Present project updates, system capabilities, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with departments to understand needs and deliver effective IT solutions.
- Manage departmental and cross-functional projects from planning through execution.
- Supervise 5 direct reports
- Oversee vendor relationships, including contract management, performance tracking, and roadmap alignment.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and internal governance standards.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 3 years of management experience in IT or related functions.
- At least 5 years of experience working with enterprise IT systems.
- Experience in financial services is a plus.
Preferred Technical Knowledge:
- Familiarity with SQL databases and Oracle-based systems.
- Understanding of data governance and data warehouse principles.
- Experience with reporting platforms such as Tableau.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
