Responsibilities:
- Project Management:
- Lead EMR implementation and upgrade projects from initiation to completion.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
- Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed to meet objectives.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and IT teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and leadership.
- System Implementation & Optimization:
- Oversee system configuration, testing, training, and go-live support.
- Ensure EMR systems meet regulatory, security, and interoperability standards.
- Identify opportunities for workflow improvements and system enhancements.
- Vendor Management:
- Coordinate with EMR vendors and third-party consultants.
- Manage contracts, service level agreements, and vendor performance.
- Risk & Change Management:
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Manage change control processes and ensure documentation is up to date.
Experience Requirements:
- 7-10 years of experience in IT project management, with at least 2 years in EMR systems or Healthcare IT environments
- International experience - will primarily be responsible for UK/Europe environments
- Strong understanding of healthcare workflows and compliance requirements (HIPAA, HITECH).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
