Job Details
Job Title: Bi-Lingual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Monterey, California
Shift: 1st Shift (6:45 AM 3:15 PM, with a 30-minute meal break)
Days: Monday through Friday
The Bi-Lingual Speech-Language Pathologist will provide comprehensive speech and language services to K 12 students across assigned schools, supporting both monolingual and bilingual learners based on their individual needs and the clinician's experience. This position is ideal for experienced SLPs or Clinical Fellows (CFYs), as supervision can be provided.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide services to a diverse student population, including English learners, using culturally responsive practices.
- Conduct speech-language screenings and formal evaluations in English and other languages as qualified.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services, assessments, and progress reports.
- Participate in IEP meetings, staffings, and team conferences.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student communication and academic success.
- Provide direct and consultative services as outlined in students' IEPs.
Qualifications:
- Valid SLP License and/or California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) Speech Credential.
- Bilingual proficiency preferred (required for bilingual pay rate).
- CFYs accepted; supervision available.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently across multiple school sites, if needed.
