RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is hiring two experienced PM/BA II (Project Manager/Business Analyst Level 2) consultants to support strategic initiatives within our branch retail network in Birmingham, AL.
Summary:
This role is focused on improving core banking systems related to account servicing, customer origination, and teller transactions. You will play a key role in defining business requirements, performing manual QA testing, and ensuring solutions align with operational goals to reduce risk and increase efficiency.
Project Scope:
These roles focus on enhancing two proprietary systems widely used in our branch operations. Analysts will help drive business-side improvements through detailed analysis and testing to support improved workflows, reduced risk, and greater operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyze and document business needs and translate them into clear, actionable requirements
* Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment, secure approval, and support execution
* Write high-quality Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
* Perform manual QA and UAT testing in collaboration with technology teams
* Incorporate compliance and risk considerations into documentation and process workflows
* Partner closely with the manager and team to adhere to standard operating procedures
* Track KPIs and evaluate post-implementation outcomes
* Work exclusively on operational improvements (no direct financial transaction systems)
REQUIREMENTS:
* 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a dual PM/BA role
* Strong background in fast-paced retail support or operations
* Experience writing detailed business requirements
* Manual QA/UAT testing experience is highly preferred
* Agile experience required (SAFe experience is a plus)
* Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
Nice to Have:
* Financial services or banking industry experience
* Experience supporting branch operations or customer-facing retail systems
Tools & Environment:
* Proprietary internal systems (developed in-house)
* Agile methodology
* Cross-functional business and IT collaboration
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
