Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Desktop Technician to join our IT support team. This role is essential in supporting end users during and after Windows 11 migrations, ensuring smooth transitions, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have experience in enterprise environments, strong technical troubleshooting skills, and familiarity with cloud-based identity management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Software Installation: Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop applications and operating systems across various user environments.
User Personalization & Configuration: Assist users with post-upgrade personalization, including restoring settings, configuring profiles, and ensuring a seamless transition to updated systems.
Peripheral Setup: Install and configure printers and other peripheral devices, ensuring proper connectivity and functionality.
Ticket Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all support interactions, resolutions, and follow-ups using the organization's ticketing system.
Customer Support: Provide responsive and courteous technical support to end users, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Top 3 Skills Required:
1. Excellent Customer Service: Proven experience supporting users post-Windows 11 migration, with a focus on empathy, patience, and clear communication.
2. Enterprise Environment Experience: Hands-on experience implementing and upgrading Windows 11 in a medium-sized enterprise (approximately 1,000 devices).
3. Cloud Identity Management: Proficiency with Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory), including logging in, managing user permissions, and troubleshooting access issues.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience as a Desktop Technician or similar IT support role.
Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 environments and software deployment tools.
Familiarity with printer configuration and peripheral troubleshooting.
Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, or Zendesk.
Excellent problem-solving and documentation skills.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
