Job Details

Title: Senior Technical Project Manager (PMP)

Duration: 12 Months (3 Years Ext)

Location: Austin, Texas 78751. The working position is Hybrid - On Site and Telework. Position will be 3 days remote with 2 days (Thurs & Fri) required to be onsite at the location listed above.

Program will only allow candidates who are LOCAL TO THE AUSTIN AREA ONLY (Within 50-mile radius).

Please do not submit candidates who are currently out of state and are planning to move to Texas. Candidates must already reside in Texas.

Summary:

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required and should be noted on the resume. Proof of certification may be requested.

Project managers are the people in charge of a specific project or projects within a company. As the project manager, your job is to plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of the specific project you are working on. Project managers might work by themselves or be in charge of a team to get the job done.

This Project Manager contractor position is part of the Administrative Applications Production Data Services team and will be working on the development and implementation of modifications and enhancements to the Financial Data Warehouse. This position will perform the duties of project management including the implementation of standard project management industry practices for Agile teams. Understands the PMI framework as well as how to establish a project organization and methodology within Agile (Scrum) organizations. Understands business and technical objectives of a project and works closely with multiple key project stakeholders. Communicates to clients and IT teams. Creates project charters, work plans, and other related project artifacts, as necessary. Provides technical support both during work hours and on-call, as necessary. Must be able to comprehend and communicate complex technical designs and implementations as well as complex business processes. Develops and makes presentations as required to leadership and oversight entities.

Required Skills:

6 Years of Required Project Management experience for large-scale enterprise implementations

6 Years of Required State of Texas or similar Federal/State Project Management experience

3 Years of Required Agile (Scrum) experience

3 Years of Required Development experience

3 Years of Required Jira Experience

Preferred Skills:

1 Year of Preferred PMP Certification

1 Year of Preferred State of Texas Project Delivery Framework experience

1 Year of Preferred Experience with data warehouse applications and/or database reporting features

1 Year of Preferred State Procurement and Contracting experience
