Our client, a nationwide Power utility tooling and PPE provider, is actively seeking a highly motivated and reliable individual to join their sales team as an Outside Sales Representative focused on growing a sales territory. The sales territory is New England.
This full-time position requires a dedicated individual who possesses excellent communication skills, resilience, & drive to help the sales team succeed. The successful candidate will embody a positive attitude, take pride in their work, and be an integral part of our sales force. Previous experience within Personal protective equipment (PPE) sales is required.
Current Client Management:
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients. Ensure client satisfaction through regular face to face meetings and proactive communication.
- Inventory Discussions: Discuss current inventory levels, address any issues, and provide clients with updates on product availability.
Prospecting and Business Development:
- Prospecting/Cold Calling: Dedicate significant time to identifying and reaching out to potential new clients. This includes in person cold calling (occasionally over the phone as well)
- Lead Follow-Up: Engage with leads from previous interactions to develop potential client relationships and convert leads into sales. This mainly happens in person, but sometimes it includes over the phone or email.
- Weekly travel: weekly visits of customers, events or vendor joint calls
Administrative Duties joint with customer service assistance:
- Order Management: Input and manage customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any customer problems or concerns related to orders or services.
- Quoting: Prepare and provide quotes to clients, ensuring competitive pricing and clear communication of terms.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Update and maintain the sales pipeline, tracking progress and forecasting future sales.
- Route Mapping: Plan and map out efficient routes for sales calls to optimize travel time and productivity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree required
- 2-4 years of relevant experience
- Solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Able to work well under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally always
- Computer literate, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, and e-mail
Two sales territories are hiring:
- Must reside in Sales Territory (New England states - NY, CT, RI, MA, VT, NH, ME)
- Must reside in Sales Territory (MN,WI,IA)
