Position Summary:
We are seeking an IT System Analyst to join our team and support the modernization and automation of our reporting processes. In this role, you will analyze, design, and implement technology solutions that enhance data management, reporting efficiency, and organizational effectiveness. You will work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications, develop automated report pipelines, and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) in alignment with federal best practices.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Design and implement an automated report production line to meet ongoing and ad-hoc reporting requirements
• Research industry best practices and emerging technologies to recommend improvements
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather report requirements, perform impact analyses, and prioritize tasks
• Model, tune, and maintain PostgreSQL databases to support high-performance reporting
• Develop and execute data migration strategies, ensuring data quality, security, and integrity
• Implement data sharing solutions to facilitate interoperability with other government agencies
• Create, validate, and maintain technical SOPs based on federal guidance and organizational needs
• Facilitate review sessions, document feedback, and update procedures to address any identified gaps
• Facilitate meetings, track action items, and follow up on tasking to ensure timely delivery
• Maintain clear communication between technical teams and business users
• Support strategic planning, priority alignment, and continuous process improvement initiatives

Experience and Education:

• Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required
• Master s degree preferred
• Minimum of 1 year in an IT Systems Analyst or similar role, with hands-on experience in technology solution delivery in the government sector

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in Python and Java for scripting, automation, and back-end development
• Experience building and maintaining web interfaces using modern frameworks (e.g., React, Angular)
• Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL: schema design, SQL querying, performance tuning, and migrations
• Ability to gather and document system requirements, create detailed specifications, and conduct impact analyses
• Familiarity with SDLC methodologies and report automation tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to liaise effectively between business stakeholders and technical teams
