Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support key initiatives within the Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) division of a global financial institution. This role will focus on driving strategic and operational projects from planning through execution, ensuring alignment with business objectives, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement.
Pay Rate: $54.00/hr

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Execution: Lead the end-to-end management of complex projects across multiple functional areas, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong partnerships with business leaders, front-office teams, technology partners, risk/compliance, and operations to ensure project goals are met.

  • Scope & Change Management: Define project scope, manage change control, and adapt plans in response to shifting priorities or regulatory requirements.

  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate risks; escalate issues as needed to ensure transparency and resolution.

  • Budget Oversight: Monitor project budgets and ensure efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial goals.

  • Status Reporting: Deliver regular project updates to key stakeholders and senior leadership, including progress metrics, risk assessments, and mitigation plans.

  • Process Optimization: Identify and recommend improvements to project management frameworks and delivery methodologies.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all activities align with internal policies and applicable regulatory standards within the banking industry.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience managing projects in financial services, preferably within investment banking, trading, risk, or capital markets.

  • Proficient in project management methodologies such as Agile, PMBoK, or hybrid approaches.

  • Experience supporting enterprise change initiatives and managing cross-functional teams.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to interface with senior stakeholders.

  • Experience with risk identification, mitigation strategies, and compliance monitoring.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.

  • Familiarity with financial modeling, reporting, and operational data analysis is a plus.

  • PMP or Agile certification preferred but not required.

  • Experience working in or supporting Capital Markets, Trading Operations, or related areas in CIB.

  • Ability to navigate a highly matrixed environment and influence without direct authority.
