Job Description: -
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced COBOL Developer with strong expertise in Unisys OS 2200 systems.
The ideal candidate should be able to work independently while providing guidance to team members when needed.
This is a fully remote, long-term opportunity for an experienced mainframe professional who has extensive
hands-on experience in COBOL development, system integration, and mainframe production support.
Responsibilities: -
Develop, maintain, and enhance COBOL applications in a Unisys OS 2200 mainframe environment
Support system-to-system integration activities with third-party vendors
Perform production monitoring, error diagnostics, and debugging
Conduct system analysis, design, unit testing, and integration testing
Provide technical guidance and support to team members
Maintain comprehensive documentation throughout the software development lifecycleRequired Skills & Qualifications: -
Senior 5 - 7 Years Candidate is able to work independently, without assistance and provides guidance to others. May have an advanced education.
3 Years experience performing system to system integration with a third-party vendor utilizing Service Oriented Architecture.
5 Years experience working with COBOL 74 and/or 85 programming on Unisys 2200 series or Clear Path mainframes. Experience should include monitoring production work including system analysis and design, program, unit and integrated testing.
4 Years experience utilizing Unisys ECL, TIP and DMS 2200/RDMS.
4 Years experience monitoring production work and performing error diagnostic/debugging activities in a mainframe environment.
3 Years experience creating and maintaining documentation related to designing, programming, and testing in a mainframe environment
