Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager with strong AWS cloud expertise to lead the delivery of Java-based cloud-native projects while serving as the key technical and business liaison with our clients. This role demands deep technical knowledge, exceptional client management skills, and the ability to lead distributed teams across multiple geographies.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Client Management

• Manage end-to-end delivery of Java-based cloud-native projects on AWS infrastructure, ensuring adherence to scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building trust-based relationships through data-driven communication and evidence-based recommendations
• Translate technical architectures and cloud solutions into business value propositions, helping clients understand the impact of technology decisions on their business outcomes
• Negotiate project scope, timelines, and resource allocations with clients while balancing technical feasibility and business constraints
• Manage client expectations through transparent reporting, backing all recommendations with concrete data, performance metrics, and business impact analysis

Team Leadership & Technical Guidance

• Lead and mentor distributed technical teams across offshore and onshore locations, providing architectural guidance and technical direction for cloud-native application development
• Collaborate with architects, developers, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment
• Guide technical teams on AWS best practices, Java development patterns, microservices architecture, and cloud-native design principles
• Bridge communication gaps between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring alignment on priorities and deliverables across time zones

Project Planning & Execution

• Develop comprehensive project plans including AWS resource provisioning strategies, deployment pipelines, risk mitigation approaches, and multi-location team coordination protocols
• Define project scope, timelines, milestones, and resource plans
• Translate business requirements into technical requirements and user stories
• Facilitate requirements gathering, solution design sessions, and technical reviews with both client stakeholders and development teams
• Ensure adherence to Agile/Scrum methodologies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and status reporting
• Coordinate releases, deployments, and post-production support

Risk Management & Reporting

• Proactively identify technical and project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate critical issues with recommended solutions backed by data analysis
• Track project progress, risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans
• Present regular status updates to client leadership using metrics, analytics, and evidence-based insights to support decision-making
• Ensure compliance with security, performance, and quality standards

Required Qualifications

Experience

• 8-10+ years of overall IT experience with 3-5+ years managing technical projects in a client-facing capacity
• Proven track record with negotiation skills and managing complex stakeholder relationships
• Demonstrated success managing offshore and multi-location teams with experience in cross-cultural collaboration and distributed team dynamics

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on understanding of AWS cloud services including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudFormation, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, and related cloud infrastructure
• Solid understanding of Java/J2EE technologies (Spring, Spring Boot, REST APIs)
• Experience delivering Java-based cloud-native applications using microservices architecture and containerization technologies
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and tools like JIRA, Confluence, Git, Jenkins
• Ability to provide technical guidance to development teams on architecture, design patterns, and cloud best practices

Project Management & Communication

• Excellent analytical skills with ability to present data-driven insights and evidence-based recommendations to business stakeholders
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to adapt messaging for technical teams, business leaders, and C-level executives
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies in distributed team environments
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and cross-functional teams
• Strong risk management and issue resolution expertise
• Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate collaboration across multiple time zones

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Developer, or SysOps Administrator)
• PMP, CSM, SAFe, or similar project management certifications
• Technical background with hands-on Java development or cloud architecture experience
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
• Knowledge of containerization platforms (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures
• Experience in healthcare technology or enterprise software delivery
• Track record of successfully managing complex negotiations involving scope, budget, and timeline trade-offs
• Familiarity with data analytics and visualization tools for project reporting and client presentations
